Join Chronicles Tours and delve into the history of food and drink in London - hearing about (and in two notable cases, visiting) the pubs, tea merchants, restaurants, and exclusive private dining halls where Londoners and visitors alike have eaten and drunk over the centuries.
Enjoy a specially crafted drink in a luxurious, unique bar, and sample tea blends on the premises of London's oldest tea merchant. See London's oldest restaurant, serving hungry customers since 1798 - and learn about its place in the story of Britain's most famous fictional spy. Explore the legal district where lawyers have dined for over 600 years, and see the pub named after a King's favourite mistress!
And, of course, much much more...
This two-and-a-quarter hours tour starts at Covent Garden station (Piccadilly line) and ends a short walk away from Temple station (Circle, and District lines). Please note that drinks at the first venue are not included in the price of the tour, and samples at the second venue are subject to availability on the day.
No under 18s are permitted on this tour due to entrance into licensed premises.

How to eat responsibly when travelling
If you're an avid traveller (or in the industry) and want to learn how to eat responsibly when you travel, then join the Impact Travel Alliance London chapter on World Food Day at the charming Hourglass Pub in South Ken.
We all love to eat well when we travel, but what we eat and how we chose to eat has a significant impact on the destination. We have two fantastic speakers, (both leaders in the positive and sustainable food world), who will share their views on how we can eat better as we discover the world.
Adele Jones - Head of External Relations at the Sustainable Food Trust will speak about "How to align your diet to the productive capacity of the country you’re travelling in (or where you live)". Be prepared for some surprises here, as she will debunk some common myths on sustainable eating!
Sophie Andre - Founder of Elysia (an award winning sustainable catering business) will talk about the event catering supply chain and why it's time for us to rethink how we host parties and events.
