About the workshop A home is our own personal sanctuary; a carefully curated space where we can be ourselves and feel connected with our surroundings. When designed well and with purpose, a home should tell a story about our lifestyle, tastes and all the things that mean the most to us. Personal style is all about getting to know ourselves on a deeper level and creating a space that can evolve with our changing needs or moods. It’s taking inspiration from different interior styles or trends, but ultimately it’s about making it yours.  But finding your personal style is easier said than done. As a decoration project starts to take shape, it can be easy to get overwhelmed with ideas or begin to lose focus. This workshop will help bring a sense of calm and clarity to your home, so that you will be able to bring together everything that you’ve learnt to create one cohesive look that reflects you and your unique style.  What we’ll cover in the workshop  How to define your values and find your personal style How to create a space that works for your lifestyle Where to find inspiration and gather ideas How to give clarity to your ideas and give purpose and meaning to a project How to create a mood board that will help give focus to your personal style Styling tips and tricks to easily apply at home Adding the finishing touches to complete an interior space Is this workshop for me?  This workshop is for anyone with a passion for home interiors, but specifically for those who are looking to develop a distinctive personal style and create a home that is a true reflection of their needs and tastes. It is geared towards homeowners and creatives rather than professional interior designers or architects.  The details The workshop will take place Tuesday 24th September from 6 - 9pm at USM’s bright and inspiring showroom in Clerkenwell. The address is Ground Floor, 49 - 51 Central Street, London EC1V 8AB. The nearest tube stations are Farringdon, Barbican and Old Street.  Cocktails and nibbles will be provided by USM and you’ll receive a lovely goodie bag to take home with you at the end of the evening. Attendees will also be entered into an exclusive competition to WIN a piece of USM furniture, worth £500, on the night of the workshop! All materials for making a mood board will be provided – all you need to bring is yourself. This is a small, intimate workshop and spaces are limited – please notify us of any cancellations five days prior to the event.  If you have any questions or queries please email Cate at [email protected] or Natalie at [email protected]  About Cate St Hill Cate St Hill is an interiors writer, stylist and consultant based in London.
